Gentle Evening Yoga Class with Amanda Fisher

 August 12, 2024

Join us for an evening yoga class at Union House Arts with certified yogi, Amanda Fisher!

The class offered at UHA will be an hour long, gentle vinyasa flow style. The primary focus will be on stretching, but we’ll also give some attention to strengthening both muscles and mind. Breath work will be an important component, as well, and will be something you can take away to use in your daily activities.

There will be many options and modifications offered, with detailed cueing, so that the class is accessible for all levels – from beginner to advanced.

Things to bring along: your yoga mat, yoga props if you have them (e.g., blocks, a yoga strap, to help support you in some of the poses), water bottle, a blanket or towel (can be great for knee padding during the class, as well as for the final resting pose of Savasana), and socks if you also like to have cozy, warm feet for relaxation at the end of class. There will be some extra mats and props available to borrow if you need!

We ask that you aim to arrive a few minutes early to give yourself time to get settled and comfortable on your mat. The class will begin at 7:30, at which point the door will be locked so as not to disturb the class.

When you register, we’ll email you a waiver. Please be sure to complete and return the waiver form before class!

About Amanda:
“Hello! I’m Amanda Fisher, a yoga teacher from Bonavista, NL. ️
About five years ago, I began to delve more deeply into yoga as a daily physical practice, but also as a way of living in a more peaceful and meaningful way. That led me to the path of teaching and, in the spring of 2022, I became a 200-hr RYS Certified Teacher.
I love to share the holistic practice of yoga with my students because I believe in the amazing benefits it has for body, mind, and spirit.”
