tell them from me: exhibition opening

Our second exhibition of the season is opening!

tell them from me is an exhibition that examines the complexities of matrilineal relationships, knowledge, and domesticity present in Atlantic Canada. Together, artists Emily Hayes, Ashley Hemmings, Ann Manuel, Alana Morouney, and Sabrina Pinksen utilize textiles, painting, and interdisciplinary installation to portray the gentle, warm, and at times frigid nature of mother-daughter experiences, and the trauma and healing that happens within them.

Community Potluck

The Farewell Feast is a new addition of programming that we are running concurrently with our Artist in Residence Program! Every month we will be hosting a potluck to say goodbye to our Visiting Artists and to wish them well!

Participants will have the opportunity to chat with Visiting Artists, ask them about what they’ve been up to, and learn a little about them and their practices, all over a shared meal! Folks who come are encouraged to bring a homemade dish to contribute to the feast (but it is not mandatory).

Everyone is welcome and spots are limited so we kindly ask that you register in advance to ensure we have room!
