Tessa Graham is an interdisciplinary artist and educator living in St. John’s Newfoundland. She received her BFA in Visual Arts from Grenfell Campus, Memorial University in 2015, BEd from Memorial University in 2019 and received her MFA in Visual Arts at Grenfell Campus, Memorial University in May 2025. Tessa works with film photography, printmaking and textiles, focusing on liminal relationships between personal identity, geographical routines and processes of seasonal foraging. Tessa’s recent work experiments with combining textiles and written text together in multimedia pieces surrounding the themes of home, family lineage and her draw to rural landscapes. In 2023, she was selected to participate in the Atlantic Artist Residency Exchange between Eastern Edge ARC & Artlink in Fort Dunree, Donegal, Ireland. In 2024 Tessa exhibited her photography series Home as Place, Home as Pattern at the rOGUE Gallery, participated in the inaugural Heidi Oberheide Residency with St. Michael’s Printshop, received an Arts NL grant for her Foraged Quilt project and had a piece purchased in the City St. John’s Art Procurement Program. Tessa currently has work in the group show Grounding: In Celebration of The Rooms 20th Anniversary at The Rooms Provincial Art Gallery until October 2025.
