Andrea Raymond is a ceramicist based out of Alliston, Ontario. With a background in photography and archival practices, Andrea worked as Collections Manager and Exhibition Coordinator at the Archive of Modern Conflict (AMC), a private art collection and publisher based out of Toronto and London, England, before transitioning her career path to work in the film and television industry where she currently works as an Art Director on various long and short format projects.
After exploring ceramics in her undergraduate degree at OCAD Andrea reacquainted herself with the practice in 2019 and has since set up her own studio space where she experiments with various clays, glazes and firing techniques. With her background in photography and deep interest in archival practices and history Andrea seeks to combine her pottery practice with image-based mediums and memory-keeping to explore new techniques and historical traditions.
