Bookbinding with Recycled Paper

 April 26, 2026

In this workshop participants will learn fundamental bookbinding techniques by creating their own handmade sketchbook~

Participants will learn basic techniques such as the pamphlet stitch and/or coptic stitch. Participants may work work with found and recycled paper, (or a mix!). Levana will demonstrate the use of tools that can be found at home instead of formal bookbinding tools, such as spoons, and will guide participants step by step through folding, assembling, and binding their pages into a finished book.

This process is approachable for all experience levels and can be adapted for a variety of creative practices. Participants will leave with a unique, handmade sketchbook and the knowledge to continue exploring bookbinding using accessible materials in their own work!

Registration is required, all materials and supplied are included!
