2026 Artist in Residence

Lina Choi is a Montreal-based artist from South Korea, with an MA in Sculpture from the Royal College of Art in London. Her practice explores bodies of water through sound, performance, installation, and audio composition, creating immersive and meditative environments for audiences.
In 2025, she completed a CALQ-funded residency in Catalonia, Spain, where she presented a new sound performance at the Eufònic Festival. That same year, she held a solo exhibition, Nous continuons à couler dans un corps aqueux, at L’Écart Lieu d’Art Actuel in Rouyn-Noranda. In 2024, she presented Flotter Dans les Profondeurs at Produit Rien in Montreal, also supported by CALQ.
Her work has been shown at Radio-Hull, DAÏMÔN / Axenéo7 in Gatineau, The Music Gallery in Toronto, Sporobole (PIVOT program), DARE-DARE, OBORO, RIPA, and Centre Clark. She has completed residencies at Est-Nord-Est, DAÏMÔN, and Incheon Art Platform in South Korea.
