ALEX ANTLE DEMONSTRATES TUFTING IN THE UHA GARDEN (OCT 2021)
We are in the process of developing our backyard into a dynamic garden area and outdoor studio space!
A garden and outdoor studio has always been in the plans, but now it’s happening! In 2021, our summer student Brandon Goodland cleared out overgrown grass, built a fire pit, and build raised beds and a composter with repurposed wood. In 2022, we are excited to continue development with an outdoor studio space and getting our gardens moving! This year we will build studio and garden infrastructure and grow our outdoor public programming and land-based art practices at UHA.
We are excited to grow our back garden as an interdisciplinary space for research, art-making, skill sharing, and community building!
Thanks to support from the Come Home Year Cultural Funding, we will be making major progress with this space over the course of 2022.
