St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, on the unceded ancestral homelands of the Beothuk, and the island of Newfoundland, Ktaqmkuk, as the unceded traditional territory of the Beothuk and Mi’kmaq.
Catherine Moret was born and raised in St. John’s Newfoundland and is a recent BFA (Visual Arts) graduate from Grenfell Campus, MUN. Moret’s practice focuses on textiles, performance and photo/video based work. She explores her relationship with the landscape, environmental awareness, the playfulness that art can offer and brings her love of community building into her work. She has exhibited in various spaces, including the Biscuit Box Cabaret, Eastern Edge’s Hold Fast Arts Festival, Gatehouse Gallery, UK, and is a part of the Harlow Campus 50th-anniversary collection, UK.
